The majestic white-tailed sea-eagle, our largest bird of prey, the fourth largest eagle in the world takes a fish at sunset. They became extinct in Britain in 1918, but continued to breed successfully in Norway. Efforts to reintroduce the bird to Scotland from Norwegian stock started in 1968. Today there are 120 breeding pairs, so still a very rare bird.
